Good Luck

This card I made for my sister to wish her good luck for 2017. I wanted to use my wood mounted ladybird stamp. I love it and have had it quite some time. I don’t know who it is by though.

I chose blue polka dot paper for my panel. The gorgeous scripty sentiment is by Create A Smile. I stamped itt in Versafine black onyx ink and clear heat embossed it. Then I decided where to stamp the ladybirds above it. After cutting my panel to size with the Avery Elle wonky stitched rectangle die, I darkend the edges with some shaded lilac Distress ink.

Next I stamped the ladybird again on some pink paper. I coloured the dots darker with a marker. Then I fussy cut the main shape. Using a black marker, I went around the edges. I adhered to to my panel with some liquid glue. To add some more dimension, I gave each dot a drop of glossy accents and went around the shape of the image in a light blue marker.

To finish the card, I matted it on some black and adhered it to a pink card base.
