Wood Veneer Stag

Iwanted to use this wood veneer stag head I’ve had in my stash a while now. Also I wanted to use some patterned paper for the Simon Says Stamp challenge. So I chose the paper and went with the colours from that.

I coloured the stag in oxide ink and heat embossed him in clear and in gold embossing powders. I really like the look. I put him in a flirty frame from Lawn Fawn, wanting it to look like he is a wall hanging.

As the polka dots are quite busy, I went for a small sentiment on a whide grey panel to calm things down. The little gem is the finishing touch.

I’m really quite pleased with the clean and simple result and wish I wouldn’t hoard my bautiful papers and rather use them more… We’ll see.
