Lucky Stars

This card is for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. Please check the sketch out below!

A starry card featuring MFT stamps and Distress Oxide Inks.

I created the striped panel using Distress Oxide Inks on kraft cardsstock. The lined background stamp is from Stampin Up. The chalky effect these inks give, contrast beautifully with the gold specialty papers used.

Next I used the same inks on watercolour paper and embossed the MFT myriad dots in some pearl gold sparkle glitter ebossing powder by WOW (what a mouthful!). On it, I embossed the chameleon from the Polynesian Paradies MFT stamp set. This little guy is the whole reason why I had to have this set. I just love him! I fussy cut him out, added some white glaze and a drop of black enamel accents for his eye and some Nuvo craystal drops on his spots.

Going with the sketch and my sentiment, I arranged all those stars for my little fellow to sit on, stamped the same backround dots I also used on the Chameleon as a border over which I stamped and white heat embossed my sentiment. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I added some Nuvo Drops for extra embellishement. The little critter is popped up on some 4mm Glue Drops.

This card has some lovely shine and I can’t wait to give it away!
