Spotlight Stamping Doodle Flowers

Time Out Challenges is celebrating it’s third birthday. So Happy Birthay to you! The Challenge for this is Love and/or Friendship with the optional twist of ‘spotlight stamping’ where you add colour only to one raised area of your image. I have a stamp set that really lends itself to this. It’s a set of a flowers stamp and matching dies by Stephanie Ackerman for Sizzix. I really love the doodled look of them!

I stamped the image in Versafine ink and heat embossed it in white. For my colouring I used Zig real color real brush markers. I coloured everything very pale, using lots of water and keeping the colouring simple. Then I die cut the biggest flower and added a lot more colour to it. This time I also went for a bit of variation in the shading.

The panel I cut with an Avery Elle stitched rectangle die and then matted  it on some pastel purple cardstock, before adhering it to the cardbase. To raise the image, I cut the flower again from yellow craft foam, before reattaching it into place. Finally I heat embossed a scripty Lawn Fawn sentiment in white on vellum and added a purple rhinestone.
