You’re My Cup Of Coffee

I love pink and and I love coffee and mixed up the two for this card.

Coffee card in pinks and purples

I cut the small wood paper panel with a pierced rectangle die and stamped the Hero Arts coffe cup in Versacolor Pigment inks. Using a stamping tool, I layered the colours orchid, peony and boysenberry. I started with the lightest colour and then inked up the stamp towards the edge for the following layers. Using a precision sttamping tool is really a must here. When I was happy with the colour, I clear heat embossed the image. The rising steam I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in white.

For my background I cut a larger white panel, also with a pierced rectangle die. On this I stamped with a splatter stamp, which I inked up with Distress inks in Victorian Velvet and Dusty Concord. I spritzed the stamp with water, before stamping it onto my paper.

As the wood paper is very thin, I adhered it onto a piece of krfat cardstock, before glueing it down on my actual panel.

Finally, I added this onto a side folded pink card base.

  1. What a fabulous card you’ve designed! The coffee cup embossed in pink on the wood background is so pretty; the stamping in the background, eye-catching! Thank you for sharing this gem in the FUSION gallery!
