Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It’s summer and time for another card designed for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. And this has to be Iced Coffee and the beach for me!

Distress inks and Tim Holtz Blueprint tsamps on a summer Coffee Card.

For the panel I used watercolour paper. I stamped the images from two Tim Holtz Bluprint Sketch stamp sets, mixing coffee and beach. I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in white. Then I added a light wash of Distress Inks in the colours peacock feathers and twisted citron. After drying it, I added more of the blue to the images. Finally I flicked on a bit more of the bright green and cut the panel with a wonky stitched rectangle die.

To add the sentiment, I cut apice of vellum, so as not to loose the pattern on the panel. I heat embossed part of  sentiment in the same white I used before. For the die cut word I doubled up two layers of cardstock. The little starfish is coloured using Hero Arts neon ink.

After adhering all the pieces together, I matted the panel on Kraft cardstock for a beachy feel. This I added on a white card base.

I think the card has finished up with a cool iced coffee feel to it. Enjoy the summer!
