Christmas Ornament

This clean and simple card is for the Addicted to CAS Challenge with the code word Ombre.

Ombre colouring and dray embossing for a clean and simple Christmas card

To start with, I dry embossed the Peace on Earth sentiment with a Sizzix embossing folder. Now enter the ombre look: Here I ink blended distress inks, going from peacock feathers to blue print sketch and finally a touch of faded jeans towards the top. From this, I cut the ornament and gave it a covering of Wink of Stella. I created the ornament using dies from a Stephanie Barnard Triplits set.

I inked up a piece to mat my panel on, using the same colour inks as above. I sandwiched a rectangle of craft foam between the two. Then, wanting to keep this card really clean and simple, I called it a day. Actually I think, the card ended up looking quite elegant. I bet it would look good in other ombre colours too. Adding different ornaments, this would also make a cute card set to give away.
