Last year I fell in love with Newton Nook’s winter critters in sweaters. They are sooo adorable! And they don’t have to make a Christmas card. So I ordered them with the coordinating dies and can’t get enough of them.
For this card I chose the fox. I started with the silver panel on which I stamped my trees. They are, of course, from Tim Holtz. I smooshed on a mix of water and perfect pearls, so it wouldn’t be so even. Using a stencil, I added layers of falling snow. Then I cut the panel using a wonky stitched rectangle.
Next I stamped and coloured that gorgeous little fox. I used my Zigs to colour him in. To bring him to life, I used a Nuvo sparkle pen and glossy accents.
My card base I prepared with a Hero Arts background stamp with branches in a really light colour and stamped my greeting in the corner.
To add some interest and contrast, I adhered a branch and a scalopped edge rectangle to the back of my panel, popped everything up on some craft foam and adhered it to my card base. To finish it off, I used some grey Nuvo drops.
I think this makes for a charming card.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
