I have had this beautiful patterned paper with witches, bats, shimmer and shine in my stash for years now. Now it was time to actually turn it into a cards. This took me a long while and I ended up with two quite different Halloween cards.
This was the first card I made, cutting two layers of these cute ghosts, keeping the eyes and mouth in the lowere layer, colouring them black. I went on to cut the letters for the “boo” from black glitter craft foam. I thought it would be fun to have each of the ghosts balancing a letter. I added the trees for ground, colouring to match using Distress Oxide Inks.
The panel still looked kind of lost, so I matted it onto black and orange to make it pop. The final touch was to adhere the sequins.
The second card started out with me wanting to use the leftover from where I cut out the “boo” sentiment for the first card. I cut a tag from the patterned paper and also from orange, which I matted on black. I fixed them together with a matching brad.
The black background paper I stamped in Distress oxide and spritzed it with water. I love how it show up on the black! The stamp is by Hero Arts. The orange paper I swiped with the inkpad.
Finally I arranged everything on a pale yellow card base and coloured the Sentiment with a sakura clear sparkle pen, which adds some graet shine in real life.
I am entering the second card in the following challenges:
