Seaside And Flip-Flops

Okay, this is a short excursion into summer. Can’t wait to get those flip-flops on!

This clean and simple card was inspired by the Addicted to CAS Seaside challenge. I was going to pair this with another challenge asking to use chevron. While digging for chevron in my patterned paper stash, I stumbled upon the anchor paper and went with that instead. I loved the paper with those good mood words and decided to use it instead of a sentiment. So I adhered the two papers together and cut a panel with a wonky stitched rectangle die.

I added a strip of washi tape with a watery look to it (in my mind anyway) where the two papers meet.

Next I cut the flip flops using dies from Paper Smooches. Cute, eh?! I used from some gold shimmer paper, the colour of sand and in nice contrast to the rest of the paper. After placing them, I added small gemstones, which I had coloured in with a copic marker to match the card.

As a final touch, I added a white eyelet, before attaching the panel to a cream coloured card base.
