The Color Throwdown challenge has a really happy looking colour combo this time. So my card is sending happy hugs.
First I created the tag. I cut it from white cardstock using a Sizzix die and added pattern paper across the top. Using Lawn Fawn dies, I added the stitched look across the lines.
Then I stamped the lovely little bunny by Stacy Yakula for Purple Onion Design. He is stamped in Versamark onyx black ink and clear heat embossed. I coloured him using inktense pencils and water. His hat and inner ears are also covered in Wink of Stella, his gloves and the little pompom on the heat in the Sakura clear glitter gelly roll pen. Using a copic marker and colourless blender, I outlined the image.
I added two strips of patterned paper scraps and a strip of red washi tape across the bottom. I also coloured a hint of a shadow underneath the bunny. Adding the reinforcer and the ribbon finished off the tag.
The little guy look as if he is inviting someone for a big hug with his arms wide open. So that is the sentiment I went with. The die is also by Lawn Fawn and I used it to cut the word twice from heavy black cardstock. I glued on on top of the other and covered it in Wink of Stella.
Next I ink blended some snowflakes on my card front and cut some Sizzix snowflakes from coloured cardstock. Some I added on the card base. Using a rectangle of fun foam and glue, I fixed the tag onto the card. Finally, I adhered the sentiment and the last snowflakes, leaving the to hang off the tag in parts.
I like how I cut use this card for any occasion really, just by stamping a Than you, Happy Birthday, Just because etc. inside.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
