Jingle Bear

This little bear is another of the Winter Sweater stamp set by Newton’s Nook. I did some no-line colouring with my Inktense pencils on him, adding some white lines after the colouring had dried. After die-cutting him, I sewed a litlle jingle bell into his hand to match the sentiment. Then I added another die cut underneath to stury him up.

Next I created the pink background with Distress Oxide ink and Nuvo glitter paste. This also has some green sparkle to it which matches his sweater. The gold embossed sentiment picks up on the design and is from an MFT stamp set. I think the simple style of the lettering goes really well with the pines. This pink piece I matted on magenta. That really gave it a finished look.

The brown panel is inked in white pigment ink and has some cross stitching on the top and bottom, picking up on the sweater design.

After adhering these panels to a white card base – the pink one on some craft foam -, I popped on the bear, straight down at his feet and with 4mm glue drops toward his head, giving some more dimension to the card.
