All White Birthday Card

Making an all white card really is quite challenging. I did add a touch of colour. And here it comes:

Simple stampimng for a CAS white birthday card

I stamped the boats from a Hero Arts Origami stamp set in a pattern across some white cardstock. I chose Hero Arts soft pool shadow ink for this, as it is a very pale colour, and the blue goes well with the boats. Alos, this is a birthday card for a man.

To add more interest, I splattered some silver Distress Spray along the pattern. To achieve this look, I flicked the ink from an acrylic block using a paint brush. This gave me more control of where my splatters went.

Before stamping the sentiment, I cut the pieced rectangle with an Avery Elle die. The birthday sentiment is from Charlie and Paulchen. I used Versafine onyx black ink and double stamped it for a really crisp impression.

I felt the card needed a litle something more, so I added the eyelet and sandwiched a piece of craft foam between the panel and the card base.

I love the clean look of this card and how the splatters look different depending on the lighting.

  2. Perfectly clean and simple and just fab! I like the subtle touch of colour and the eyelet too! Nicely done. Thanks so much for playing in our Colour challenge at The Male Room. Deborah, DT.
